I don't believe it (or perhaps I do)

Recommended Posts

Maybe I have got this wrong, so I will stand corrected if need be, but despite the fact that this weekend sees the first League cup final of the season...Nobody (as far as I know) has sorted out as to what kit Romford and Ilford will be playing in.

This problem arose before our league game at Cricklefields last month and Ilford had to trudge off before the start of the game to change into their away strip. (Both our home and away kit have a kinda blue hue). So being a cup final, I was sure that the league would have tossed a coin or something to decide before proceedings started...Oh well perhaps the pies at Great Wakering and the hospitality at Canvey are far more important...Just an observation of course! Hey Ilford guys, we are meeting in the Railway Hotel outside Burnham station from 12noon onwards.. Hope to see you for a drink...including Wolf man!

Obviously you were not aware that there was an all clubs meeting of the League last night and , as Eton Manor quite rightly says, there was a "toss of the coin" and Romford won which means they have choice of colours on Saturday and that was declared by your club representative to be your first choice strip with Ilford in alternate colours of red and white. Another "toss of coin" fell correctly to Ilford who take the " home" dressing room and Romford the " away" . You can be rest assured that the League always had these serious issues on their agenda - do not fret sir !
