Good night last night, I'd forgotten how many good songs they had. Wierd to see a mosh pit in St.Albans and it was pretty busy. Played for about 90 mins as well. Started off with 15 Years and ran through a few of the rockier ones. I don't own any of the albums but they seem to run through most of Levelling the Land apparently. Then they calmed down for a while playing the quieter ones before coming back on and playing to a nicely pissed, mental crowd by this point. Highlight was obviously One Way and What a Beautiful Day. They didn't play This Garden though which is my favorite song by them. The bass player is a nutter as well, dreadlocks to his [****!!****] and balding bounding around the stage like a teenager (he is the one my ex snogged as well). Bloody good night! EFM's Alan Winn was there as well bouncing like a teenager. Very good live band and just shows what NME know after naming it sh*t gig of the week!

 

Damn that poxy Ice Bar though, for a man who has to get up at 5.30am for work it's very unsafe to have a bar that opens until 1am every night just 2 mins walk from my flat. My head hurts!

Oh well, sleeps for wimps!

Levelling The Land (from 1991) is certainly their best effort.

Not Hope Street, I can't remember what Liberty sounds like but I'm sure I heard the word, unless somebody in the crowd was talking about Liberty X

It's a real crowd favourite and one they always do live.

Yep. And she's a big fan of the Levellers, and I spent most of the mid-late '90s taking the piss out of her for it.
