Interesting how Hednesford lost 2-4 to Dorchester and are in danger of getting relegated if they don’t buck their ideas up.

What a season for them. Seems like they have two teams. Which one will play us?

Telford won 1-0 against Shrewsbury. After seeing such a convincing performance from us last Saturday against them, makes you wonder where we will be positioned in the conf. Get that stadium built!!

Telford are only mid table Conference side and you will find that, whilst its often easy to win games against Conference opposition on a one off basis, its much harder to do it week in and week out - we had a rude awakening last season, and changed virtually our whole team, from what we thought was a half decent Ryman League side - no doubt, you will have a similar experience.

And surely your comment "after seeing such a convincing performance from us last Saturday" is somewhat contradicxtory, as you only drew and had to rely on penalties to get through ??

Alan W. The game should not have gone to penalties and we should have won 2/3-0, and that's not being biased. As usual, there was only one team playing football out there. Although we equalised with one, Telford scored from two set pieces outside the box and that was the only way they were going to score. We had a number of very close chances.

Sorry you had a rude awakening last season, but we did hand the title back to you because of internal squabbles, but you know we were the better team and would of done better than you. Saying that, with the personnel that left after that season, is was a good job that we did not go up as many of the players that came in just weren't up to it.

Last season, we only properly got under way towards Christmas by playing the "old guard" again, many of whom are still there and will be there to haunt you again next season! Looking forward to it!!

Will be good to have another local game, and with Crawley (almost certainly) joining us, will make for far less travelling for us, anyway, as the relegated clubs are likely to be Leigh & Northwich (albeit that, unless they perform their annual escape acrt, Carlisle could be an awful long journey for us all)..

If you do perform as well as Aldershot have done this year (or even as well as Accrington, come to that) you'll have done extremely well.

Dont forget that we both finished some way clear in our promotion season, yet needed great change in personnel in the Conference and struggled somewhat - dont rule out that many of your players dont make the grade either, and need to be replaced.

That said, I hold no grudges against CIFC, and look forward, like you, to renewing the rivalry next season.

I hope, for your sakes, though, that you attract a few more fans through the gate next season, if as has been suggested, you go full time. Its all well and good having a good backer for the club, but we've seen only too clearly this season what relying on one benefactor can do to a club. Going full time on your crowds would, at first thought, appear financial suicide.

Blimey, you're only champions five minutes and already the old gloves are off and we're baiting each other again!! I've changed my avatar to reflect the bald chap and the fat chap crossing swords once more!! Congrats on your promotion.

.....or will tempt the conference compliance team to come sniffing round the books!

.....no - they are going to escape as I predicted - now if Cambridge & Cheltenham could fulfill part two of my prediction and go into freefall.....
