Died 10yrs ago today.

Shame he didn't stick around then we might of realised that Nirvana were a load of overrated tosh!

And I wouldn't of had to put up with scores of misreable teenagers wearing Kurt Cobain t-shirts in the forum in the mid 90's!

And I wouldn't have to hear 'smells like teen spirit' 'rape me' and that one he did for acoustically for MTV over and over all week

Mind you, they are all quite good songs but the rest are pretty overrated!

I was never majorly into Nirvana, but listening back on their stuff in retrospect, he was actually a fking good songwriter.

 

Nevermind is pretty overrated (although still good), but In Utero is a superb album.

 

Heart-Shaped Box was my favourite of their singles.

I have Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero - the three proper studio albums - and the Best Of... which is very good.

 

Nirvana purists will argue that the Best Of... only has the commercial stuff on it, but so fking what!? It's a great collection.

Is Inseticide just a collection of B-sides and rarities then or something?

 

I have all the studio albums as well and I'd say out of all of them Nevermind is my least favourite. I prefer Bleach because it sounds more raw, especially tracks like 'school','negative creep' and 'love buzz'.Think they're my fave Nirvana track actually!
