After chatting with both Greg Deacon in Bar Casa and Chris Seeby in Batchwood on Saturday night it's good to see a couple of players who aren't overpaid primadonnas and actually give a sh*t about their club. They are a credit to the people who nurtured them out of the reserves and into the first team.

And unlike some of the more senior players they take time out to chat to a wasted nutter like me who at his age shouldn't be going to them kind of places <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And Batchwood wasn't too bad actually, it wasn't too busy, it didn't seem to be full of tw*ts spoling for fights and everybody seemed to be quite friendly. The music they played in the 2nd room was alright as well (if the sodding DJ can go 2 minutes without spurting some irrelevent crap over the record) and they played the Darkness.

 

Actually while on my unscheduled stop of St.Albans "nightspots" I took in the Adelaide on Friday night and that also wasn't too bad, not too busy and not full of tw*ts spoling for a fight and a pleasant surprise when the last 2 hrs downstairs was full of old skool indie - Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, EMF and even the likes of Jesus Jones and the Supernaturals. Obviously as the DJ didn't know what he was doing and didn't have the same cred as myself he spoilt it by thinking that 4 non blondes and Bon Jovi were indie!

Batchwood is alright, but it aint one of the best nightclubs around, but it will do for St.Albans i suppose!!!!!!!
