Sorry MacEm, but your boys could have played all night without scoring! Some very poor finishing, very strange for McCarthey to take off Kyle up front! I was well gutted with the result, like you said Bridgey, those [****!!****] don't deserve it, they haven't played a premier league team yet, [***!!***] ratboy Wise, horrible looking [***!!***]. I hope Man U p*ss all over them in the final.

C&P form sky....

Oh what a shame....

Millwall's participation in next season's Uefa Cup has been cast into doubt after it emerged that player-manager Dennis Wise lacks the necessary coaching qualifications.

The Lions qualified for Europe after beating fellow First Division side Sunderland 1-0 on Sunday at Old Trafford to reach next month's FA Cup final against Manchester United and take the competition's Uefa Cup place.

Despite the South East London club's success, Uefa and The FA are currently looking at the minimum critieria the club need to play in the competition next season.

Millwall's New Den ground will come under scrutiny but of more concern will be Uefa's new club licensing system which comes into force next term.

The new criteria will expect managers to have the qualifications of a Uefa B and A badge, as well as Uefa's professional license to meet the new standards.

Licensed managers could also hold the highest coaching certificate of their national association or have a 'recognition of competence' issued by their national association, if they have a minimum of five years' experience as a head coach.

A Uefa spokesman said: "As of next season, the club licensing system will be in force and part of the system covers the qualifications of the head coach.

"The coach has to fulfil those criteria.

"The licensing system is done by the national associations so in terms of his (Wise's) particular case, it would be up to The FA to say what the situation is."

Wise, who only took over for the sacked Mark McGhee a few months ago, does not have any the required criteria and is still working on his Uefa B badge.

"I have not even got a badge, I'm doing the B at the moment," he said.

"I don't know whether or not you are allowed to manage in the Uefa Cup without qualifications.

"It's not as if I haven't played the game for a few years and I hope to think I know what I'm talking about.

"I'm just finishing the B badge, I hope to finish it in the next couple of weeks.

"I'm really busy but you have to do it. There's certain situations where you need it.

"It's like taking a driving test, you have to drive properly and I intend to do it all."

Football League clubs can apply for an exemption to the Uefa criteria, should Millwall fail to win promotion from the First Division this term.

However, if The Lions go up to The Premiership next season, Wise's case would present both Uefa and The FA with a real test of the new rules.

Yeah, they will get round it! (But if not... wonder if we'd go through as runners-up???)Everything Wise touches turns to gold these days. Lord, you said just what I did... we could have played all day and all night and not scored! And any hope we did have diminished when McCarthy took Kyle off - WHAT!!!??? Still can't get over that decision. Smith was poor so should've been subbed instead. Not a good weekend for my footballing interests!

UEFA coaching bagges are a load of tosh, our manager at St.Albans has a A grade one and look where we are.

Half of management is to do with man management and motivating something you can't teach and Wise obviosuly has in abundance!

As for being hooligans, I'm sure the Millwall firm would disagree but they aren't up the top there anymore - West Ham are worse as the pictures a couple of Sundays ago testify.

Good luck to them I say. If Millwall do get English clubs banned from Europe (which they won't) I don't think it'll affect Hornchurch or West Ham too much <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
