I though Moller was superb today!

 

Very anxious last few minutes but im sure we all had faith in the team!

 

Looking forward to Tuesday and getting our revenge over Bracknell!

Important victory. Great first half, we should have scored more. Great to see Moller score - he was delighted with his goal. In the second half we fell apart somewhat as Leatherhead came back into it with a stonking 25-yarder, and then we conceded another. They didn't threaten an awful lot after that though and we hung on for the 3 points. Riddell could have wrapped it up after being put through but it was well saved by the 'keeper. I also thought Moller was outstanding but Haddow also played very well. Some pleyers were far from their best today, but you couldn't really pick out any who had stinkers. Overall they did the job well enough.

Rebels were well worth the win, having been much the better side in the first half. The score should have been 5-0 at that stage. Leatherhead started the second half having had a kick up the pants from the manager and looked a better outfit. They scored a belter from 30 yards in off the post after 52 mins. from Gray, but thereafter we looked solid and in fact could have gone further in front. They scored the 2nd goal with 2 mins to go thanks to a mistake by Steve Daly, who had otherwise been impeccable. Lee Riddell (on for Boot)should have wrapped it up from the kick off when clean through on goal.

 

We hung on easy enough to take the points.

 

Big special thanks to Marlow....and on present form Lewes could be the ones to miss top 6!?

Yep great win which hopefully means that we have 7th spot (at least) wrapped up which means a play-off. As for the match we were excellent first half. Haddow's goal was great, played a one-two with a Leatherhead defender before lashing in a superb shot.

 

The Lee Harvey look alike then somehow managed to clear a Boot effort off the line before Hodgy headed home from the corner!

 

Moller made it three from another corner and Boot hit the post in injury-time in the first-half.

 

In the second-half we sat back and allowed them to play and their eight hit a screamer from the edge of the penalty area.

 

Despite their possession they created little until the last minute when a mistake by the usually relaible Steve Daly allowed them to score, but we held on.

 

Though Moller was MOTM by a mile as Dom said on the coach only made one mistake all match and made up for that with an excellent tackle. Haddow and Carbon were also very good.

 

The lads must have been inspired by Chris Sliski's fine goalkeeping performance in the kick about before the match!!!

Safe to say that it was very much a game of two halfs. Absolutely dominated the first half playing some cracking football. Huge credit must go to the number 8's tackle for the assist for the mulletted wonders opening goal. The second half was mix of Slough easing off and Leatherhead having a real go, having clearly been told to up their game by their boss.

 

It could be described as a comfortable three two and had they equalised it would have been very harsh as we did create several decent chances in the second half.

 

It would be nice to do Bracknell but I for one would rather we got maximum points over the easter weekends.
