Good luck to canvey for the rest of the season- not that they need it! I've only just discovered how to use this message board, its great!My dads been keeping me up to date with the action at Canvey, posting me newspaper articles. It looks like a good time to be a canvey supporter. Its quite exciting to see an Essex team doing well- i went to the Southend game at the millenium stadium, great atmosphere and loads of support, shame about the score!

I'm disappointed to see Ashley Harrisons not been playing mind. I think hes too good to be sat on the bench.

So anybody know who will be staying/leaving canvey at the end of the season?

Here here V i agree, Ash is to good to be on the bench. Hays u should tell the Braintree lot about what u told me bout the welsh phsio, have to shorten the story tho, thats a good story. i keep imagining that pic i saw of him and the way u descibed him at the end of the ...... oh god and ur mate!!! i went to bed last night and just couldnt stop giggling about it!ur a legend!

At the moment, Lee Boylan, Jeff Minton, Danny Potter and John Kennedy have all signed long term contracts. Imagine a few will be leaving as the responsibilities of playing away at someone like Scarborough on a Tuesday night and holding down a regular job are going to be too much to ask for.

Cheers for that. A relief i'm sure that Lee Boylan will be staying and indeed the others. With Danny Potter signing a long term contract what do you rekon Ashley Harrison will do. To be fair he's too good to be sat on a bench (even if it is a conference one!) and he must be fed up by now, i'm sure he wants to be playing regular first team football????

Hopefully i'll be making another visit to Villa Park this season! Was a great atmosphere last time!

Can see Ash leaving. He's a tutor at SEECAT so it's going to be very difficult for him to travel to Tuesday night away matches especially at places like Scarborough and Accrington and combine his teaching job.

 

He's a good keeper who would walk straight into any other Ryman prem side.

Yeah, i know, its a shame, he was canvey supporters player of the season a few years ago wasn't he? Good player.

The season we won the Trophy. Have a feeling Danny Potter might be getting the award this season.

My dad sent me an article from the YA sometime in March when canvey lost- they pictured danny potter. Goalkeepers hardly ever get anything possitive written about them yet the minute they slip up, they're in the papers.

Its nice to see the canvey fans appreciate and acknowledge consistently good performances. Its very easy to say Lee Boylans the main man because hes been putting the goals away, but it shouldn't be forgotton that danny potters been doing equally as well keeping them out at the other end. I'll be pleased if Potter gets it.

Lee Boylan or Minton will probably get player of the year although John Kennedy has been consistently our best player week in week out this season.

 

Think Wardy might be in the frame and Greggors could be an outside bet. Has had one of his best season's for Canvey and we've missed him when he has been injured especially last week.

Canvey have had a great season by the sound of things so it could be a close call. The players have done well collectively so its tough. I expect i'll see who wins on the forum before the paper will arrive in the post so i'll keep my eye out.

I think Ash enjoys walking along the pitch after half time with his cuppa tea, and drinking it on the bench too much to be playing again <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Ash always has a smile as he walks around the pitch but i`m sure he`s not happy being sub, knowing that Ash is there ready to take his place makes Danny work harder on his game.
