...and Worthing were going to win every game to the end of the season, right?

 

OK, so this result doesn't make much difference to Slough's current plight, but it is 'favourable' to us (just!).

Our rivals all have many matches to play to the end of the season, some between each other, and they can't all win all of them.

So, 'all we need' is for the Rebels to keep on winning...

There's no reason why we can't. Our 7-game winning streak showed the team is capable of it, but on the other hand costly [****!!****]-ups are just round the corner.

Perhaps we each need to take a sofa to the game, so that we can hide behind it while watching!

The 7 game winning streak was against footballing sides. Our weakness comes, and will continue to come, against the more 'kick and rush' sides in the league who are more about physical presence than they are playing pretty football.

 

I suspect we could well have good games against Leatherhead, Worthing and Windsor, but struggle against the so called lesser sides we still have to face who'll bully us and knock us about a bit more.

 

Plenty of twists and turns yet, but I still don't think we'll manage to match Staines results (If we do that presuming we win our two in hand, we'll go up in at least sixth.)
