Stimmo and Tilson

I know you hate Stimmo, but what was your midfield like with Tilson and Stimmo in it??

 

I read somewhere that Tilly score 20 + goals from midfield one season.

Personally, it was a shame the way Stimmo parted company with the club. The guy had such a presence on the field but his "commitment" caused him to go over the edge on too many occasions. I'm sure we would not have been so succesful if he had not been there.

 

Stimson was the defensive midfielder and Tilson was the attacking midfielder who could back up the forwards. He made many runs to the edge and into the box and that's why he rattled up such a good goal tally. Pity he missed that penalty though against Sutton at home soon after the Gravesend game when it was 1-1 after Gravesend had lost at home.

 

Both players were both so influencial and will go down as key club players when we look back in years to come.
