"Comment on Billy" how was that !! lol

see the other thread

but will say his body language last night, said it all, he IS having a bad time, so all we can do is get behind him.

If he was a poor player then yeah slgged him off; but he's not; he has the ability, so let's encourage him.

Are Enfield Town supporters worse than Andy Gray on Sky. Every post that describes one of their matches always has to refer to the performance of the officials.

Are you all getting paranoid about it?

the officals are a part of the game, so yes they should be commented on, in this instance I think you'll find he was praising them, is that not allowed either??

Well I sort of agree and disagree Steph. Certainly I don't like players who aren't committed to their team. But I sure as hell wouldn't want to watch a team full of workmanlike journeymen players. Football teams are all about blend, and you need a combination of skill, flair, sound tactics as well as hard graft and commitment. This I believe is good football.

Without what some might describe as prima donnas or "luxury players" (whatever that meant) perhaps we would not have had players like Best, Hoddle, Marsh, Greaves or even Pele. I believe the rabble down th eSeven Sisters Road have a celebrated Frenchman they think is a little above average as well. I love to see skill and flair on a football pitch, but 11 such players are as bad as 11 grafters. As I say you need the right blend.

Strikers are a bit tricky, theirs is a speciality. Of course, all strikers have the odd bad patch. The problem for a manager is how long can he wait for the bad patch to finish? A striker not scoring will cost you points. Two strikers not scoring is a big problem!

Yes, strikers ARE all about statistics. It doesn't much matter if he's a good honest 100 per cent grafter if he doesn't sciore any goals. If he stanfs picking his (or indeed her) nose for 85 minutes and scores a hat trick every game, he (she) is doing the job and is well worth the place in the team.

In Billy's case, it may be prejudice or wishfull thinking, but I do get the feeling that he only needs to get one - I suspect a lucky one off the shin - and the floodgates will open. It'll come very soon, I fancy. I feel it in my water.

I still fancy playing Lee up with Billy, with Clarky in a freer role. Maybe Danny could provide the width if we played without wingbacks. But then what do I know?

Steph

Glad you dont want 15 goals and 9 assists in 28 games.

As far as I am concerned itd bloddy impressive.

Surely everybody who joins a club is a johnny come lately.

I just think you should get off peoples backs. If all you asked was a simple question in your original point about Mr Cove you certainly seemed to have had a go at him in the last one!

I take it he means the Woolwich Exiles, or the team that could have been Millwall.

There was a team from Tottenham they could'nt win a ball. And every time they tried to they couldn't win f--k all, until they came to Highbury and that was rather daft, cos all the Arsenal fans could do was LAUGH AND LAUGH AND LAUGH

Ha ha ha ha ha ha hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Southport - he speak the truth. Henry would have no chance at the Brimmobeu. How's about the [****!!****] in the FA Cup next year? All we have to do is get to the third round proper... not too hard for the players to achieve, I'm sure.
