League Table

Just idly glancing at the League Table, as one does over lunch, it would seem that 15th place is a possibility, which would give us two home games in the play-offs. Seven points to make up admittedly, but three of those could be gained against Heybridge, who are currently in 15th, a week on Saturday.

 

Still, better see how we get on in the next two first, eh?

Hi Rob.

 

Someone on another thread talked about 'luck'. I come from the "the harder I work, the luckier I get" school so I don't really believe in it. That said, there is no doubt, however, that we have had no luck for the last 6 weeks or so.

 

During that period, since Kettering away, we have played some good football [O.K., Northwood away excepted], and too often, we have got nothing for it.

 

We played some good football on Saturday, and I have a feeling that there is a growing spirit and confidence in the side. If it is to be the play-offs, we want to be one of the teams going in to those games on a run of form. It's coming.

 

What odds would I get on The Mighty Saints and Yeading making it, I wonder?

Looking at the fixture list we need to get those points before the end of Easter otherwise we will be relying on luck!

 

Ford, Hayes, Heybridge and definately Aylesbury are all do-able.

I wouldn't want to rely on it although Canvey may have a Trophy final to play at the end of the season.
