Dagenham & Redbridge Game. Getting There...

I am planning on going to the Dagenham & Redbridge game (for the first time). My research shows that the ground is a stones throw away from Dagenham East tube station, which is in Zone 5.

 

Has anyone done the trip from Victoria or London Bridge to Dagenham East on the tube? How long would it take? I need to know in order to calculate which train to catch to Victoria or London Bridge?

A group of us are going via the Tilbury Ferry, train from Tilbury East to Barking, tube to Dagenham East. We will be initially meeting in the Crown & Thistle for a couple of real ales from around 11.00 am so you're welcome to join us if you wish.

Allow 50 minutes from Victoria

About 40 mins for London Bridge.

 

Allow another 2 hours for delays, unplanned maintenance, strikes, signal failures, leaves on line, cold hot dog trapped in tube train door, Scotsman with kilt driving train with the dead man's handle up his.......

Jubilee line from London Bridge to West Ham, then change for the District - about half an hour

look on the tube website, details time taken and changes required, also reports of any maintenance due for the line.

i know 4 of us going, so lets hope we get a realy good turn out to watch the fleet on hopefully another outstanding away performance. Judging by the support away to the git, this is closer so it should be a good crowd.

I just worked out it will take 1 hour 48 minutes in the train to get to the Dagenham & Redbridge by train, and 40 minutes by car! And they wonder why no one uses public transport!!

 

What's parking like around their ground?

We drove there last season. Parking was terrible, ended up parking in some street 5 mins away

To be honest, if a coach isn't running, public transport is much more fun, especially if there's a group of you and you've got a load of tinnies. All part of the match-day experience......beer & footy: a match made in heaven!

Surprised Squawk made it, as we believed that he had fallen for the April fool that he would have to get a passport to go to Essex.....
