ETFC Super Sunday

Recommended Posts

The time will soon be upon us when the ground is ready to be graded in order to attain a Ryman 'B' Grading.

The usual 'team' turned up this morning with two new additions(both young girls!)

We had painters, painters, painters, welders and fencers. What a team performance! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

We all hope that we have done enough to satisfy the league and if people think that all you have to do is have covered seats and stands, then think again. When we first started, we had a pitch in an open park. Now, the transformation would leave most clubs standing in admiration at what we have achieved.

Let's hope that we pass the test on Thursday - 1 April.

If you have some time during this week, then why not get down to the ground from 10.00am - 1.00pm to help finish the job off.

We also have a game on Tuesday so please make sure that all rubbish is thrown away which will leave Roy and his team with one less job to do before Thursday.

First impressions are lasting ones so we want the place as clean and tidy as possible.

Watch this forum for further details.

As for the person with a broom sweeping dust all over my nice clean paint he might well need a top gastrologist operating for several hours to remove that broom! What a plonker?

Did manage to get paint all over our Chairman in the pattern of a window grate, ho hum. At least our Chairman was there (as most weeks) working hard - Help gratefully appreciated.

Thursday 1 April has come and gone and so have the Ryman representatives. A band of hearty supporters managed to move tons of earth, paint anything that was not moving and created a ground out of a 'local park'.

I am sorry to say that the job has not finished!

We are now starting phase two which is to carry on digging, carry on laying concrete and carry on painting. Oh I do love Sundays!

See you at 10.00am on Sunday morning - bring a spade and fork. How about bringing your partner, your next door neighbour or even a friend?

Sundays get better and better!

Not only did we have the usual diggers, welders and painters this morning, we even turned our hands gardening! For those who will be at the game on Wednesday, you will notice that the paths around the ground are even wider than before after the 'groundforce' team were let loose with their spades and hoes.

It has been confirmed that we can have a lie in next Sunday as there will not be a working party. However, that does not stop anyone from going to the ground during the week at 10.00am in the mornings.
