I'm sure it was against Chesham, season 2001/02 and we won 2-1. The only bloody home game I've missed in three seasons and Wardy scores!!

Not sure which game Wardy got his "goal" (deflected cross caught on the wind) but i know he didn`t want the credit after the game, there`s still time for him to hit the net this season.

 

A few seasons back we won the league with a few games to go so the team picked their positions out of the hat and they still won!

Yes Wardy was credited with the own-goal against Chesham, he put a cross in from just past our dug-out and their defender poked it past Delroy Preddie, however it was announced over the tannoy and noted down by the Referee as Wardy scoring.

 

I wrote the match report for that game and put it down as Wardy scoring for a bit of fun "as announced" I put in the report. However it was later changed to an own goal then credit was given back to Wardy, which he said he didn't want as he wanted to score something spectacular. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I remember that, I am sure John Keeley(our keeper at the time) played as a striker! The forwards played as backs etc, and am sure we won the game too!
