i would give it to sawbo.

we must be up there im second oldest player at 22, no money, 6th in table in what is many of our teams first season in senior football. we have beaten ryman, dr martens opposition in cups! many players been approached and chose to stay.

not many teams have got the better of us, other that sawbo and bas we have beaten every team, bar those we have not played twice yet! only been beaten by more than 1 goal once! won 7 out of last 8 away and drew the other!

vote for us!!!!!!

i think like yorselves there is other clubs sniffing around but i think the key players will still be around. some people chose to chase money but its got to be worth it. i mean i know some of our players have been offered £40-£50 a week and said no. what is that after petrol etc to games and training £20??

we have a good team spirit and do belive we could finish in the top 3 next season. then again i should imagine there is about 7/8 teams that believe that. everyone here wants to play a higher standard of football but we all want to do it for wafc. the club are striving to get the ground to the required standard then its up to us.

could do with a few more fans, how loyal are you and do you live near the abbey?? ha ha

any news from your place??

thats why my vote goes to the manor where i am its big money and when i see what them boys do for kirk and brian it makes you very humble.

if you could see the work kirk and larry put into that club you would vote them team of the year.

paul tandy works his plums off also johns a top man with all his help.

sue is worth a milion and you got mr manor reg curtis

i know our chairman speaks very highly of reg and speaks to him on the phone a bit. i think he is going to do some work on our ground.

our place is very similar to that extent, a lot of people who do lots for free! even like cleaning out the dressing rooms, things people take for granted.

i respect anyone who puts in time and graft at a club just for the love of football.

I agree on ETON MANOR as team of the season but I think LONDON APSA also deserve a mention, they have learnt such a lot on the field and are a nice bunch on and off the pitch.

At ENFIELD TOWN the same as most clubs all the work is carried out by people doing the jobs for free including building the stadium we play in.

I agree with most of the others on this thread Eton Manor are the ESL team of the year for me. They started with no ground (until Burnham stepped in with a generous offer that save their bacon), but they have certainly made up for it in passion and commitment to the game of football! Well done Reg and the lads.

Ilford - No way.

Sawbo - maybe

Romford - possibly

Town - regretably don't think so

Waltham Abbey - Na

London Apsa - Noop.

We must have less money than you, you at least have a bar income. We play our players nothing, we make a loss every home game.

Having said that, I agree Abbey are amongst the contenders along with Eton Manor.

ASPA should get credit for their enthuiasm, and will do better next time around.

Southend Manor should also get some credit for plugging away even though they lost their entire side.

Morning all...

Obviously I would say Ilford but if I'm honest I'd go for.....

Eton Manor.

Superb attitude with a superb set of players and management.

After that.....

Romford.....considering they have got no money....Mark Reed has done a fantastic job.

In third place I'll have to plump for...

Sawbo...

Yes that hurt...! lol

But they have acheived alot with an average set of players but they have a never say die attitude and they all stick together.

Point taken Boroman but take it from me, just because you have a bar doesn't mean that a club makes money. The Abbey have a Reserve and Under 18's to fend for, and in reality your fanbase is bigger than ours, although we are getting better crowds this season.

Interesting that you make a loss as your crowds are pretty good and people have said that you are the most expensive to get in?

At last an interesting subject...

everyone obviously thinks that their team is the best as they see all the hard work that goes into that club.

enfield town have done wonders off the field but must be considered the biggest disappointment on it, paying more money than probably 15 teams, the attraction and added support of 200+ fans and still cant mount a serious title challange.

Further to Boromans post, we also have a reserve side, under 18's 10 youth teams, football in the community programme (over 10000 so far) football in schools, all without a ground. Our prices are the most expensive but hope over clubs understand that our excellent facilities are not cheap, we pay a lot of rent and get no money from the bar or food concessions, similar to Enfield. Personally a team of the year is difficult to pick. APSA are always so polite and have learnt and taught us lot. Enfield are always good humoured and provide enough food for a weeks lunch at work. Abbey are a young side with plenty of enthusiasm. Manor are just mad, who else would do that journey, but what about Hullbridge who keep going and the countless others. If only we could get some more teams to make it more competitive and mean that Romford weren't already packing for the end of season tour.

What about our Sunday team? Played together for a number of months now and not a bad word uttered amongst the workers. Several additions have been made, with no illegal approaches and the wage structure demands that everyone is treated as an equal. Skills have improved and we have dug deep to lay the foundations for years to come. Concrete evidence can be seen, although we have yet to win any trophies.

We have even progressed to having a mid week league team who are getting just as good.
