Judging by some of the entries included on this list, then ‘Gus from Eastenders’ has achieved as much as many of the others and was probably expecting inclusion. Also Trisha’s done everything humanely possible so probably also feels aggrieved.

He has made great inrodes in his proffesion some are rather dubius, Diane Abbott for example i don't really think is great at anything to be honest !

What a joke, "Lets bend over backwards and indiscriminately label anyone as a Great Black Briton". Demeans both Black and Whites.

 

Rather then concentrate into polarising "Great" Britons into White and Black, and making a differentation between Black and white, why don't we just stick with 100 Great Britons?

Dunno mate, but my guess would be that not many black people made it into the list of 100 greatest Britons and therefore someone decided that in the name of political correctness and racial equality a list would have to be generated to recognise the talents of people such as Floella Benjamin, Goldie and so on.

One or two names in the list ain't even British anyway, and one of them isn't even black, so not only is there a very liberal interpretation of 'great' there is also a liberal interpretation of 'British' and 'Black'. Not much of a list really.

Surely the idea of political correctness & racial equality is to stop the discrimination of any group of people be they black,yellow,red,white or any other colour, any religion or nationality.

Therefore whoever produced this list is actively working against the idea of racial equality & should be put in the tower or better still shot at dawn.

Can you imagine what the coloured groups would be doing now if we had produced a list of the 100 Greatest White Britons.

But there again the pinko politically correct race relations brigade motto should be 'English people do as your told, others do what you want'.

i saw the guy who made this whole black briton thing on this morning or des and mel or something.actually come to think of it i think it was breakfast news, anyway. He was black and was annoyed that there was little prescence of blacks in the proper poll, so made his own. what a C*CK jockey.

That links in quite nicely with the other thread that Big jr is starting., gonna put him on there.

Awriiiight. Not being funny or owt lads but I reckon I've been a bit unlucky to miss out on inclusion amongst '100 greatest black Britons'.

 

On a different note, I spoke to Sven the other night, and he said that if I were still available for selection then he would have included me in his England squad for tonight's trip to Sweden. He said that he been told that I know a thing or two about beating Swedes.
