Slough Fans need to learn how to lose.

Today, I was told that I need to learn how to lose and how to support the team when the results are not going our way.

Oh well you must have missed me roaring the team on, singing, clapping and cheering when we lost to Marlow, Croydon Ath, Welling, Lewes, Bishop's Stortford, Dulwich, Croydon and Windsor. All games we lost. All games where the players put in the effort and commitment to warrant my support. All games were we genuinely had a chance. The same way as I have supported slough for all these years.

Whereas when the performance and commitment has been missing tonight, Bracknell and Hampton for example I have told the team what I think.

Martin....without naming names !

Yes....you should....

I come round to the back of the goal to support my team ! just like you do ! after 40 years I really thought I knew every type of supporter or I did...you know how to show your frustration's

I accept you feel this is the way you re act, but all I say is that f'ing and blinding has a negative effect on players....I played over 20 season of football and can honestly say, it gets a negative reaction to most players....they are are having a bad day and it almost seams to get worse ! and you keep getting reminded !

As for throwing your shirt at me ! tantermounts to throwing your toys out of the pram !!!

Corinthian Casuals played well and I really think our players just could not get going last night through the hassling and bustling from CC and yes they did not play well....and will need to improve 100% ....

But lets forget last night (all of us) and get back to doing what we do best as a team of supporters !! getting behind our team through thick and thin...

Cheers Chris Sliski.....

Well said Mr Sliski,

all fans are entitled to there own opinions and I'm sure we all appreciate how frustrating it is when we play like last night. But we need to remember that amongst our passionate support their is often several young children in attendance and while I wouldn't mind the occasional obscenity being said in front of my son, a prolonged barrage of venomous language like last night is a bit OTT.

However, as Mr S. says, lets forget last night and all get behind the team for the remainder of the season.

yer but he does not run the team as in train them he just pays for them out of his pocket so you people can come on here and moan, why dont some of you take over eddie dentons job and then lets see how well you do and who is the donut then....

I do not know who you are Daisy but at no point has anybody had a pop at Eddie Denton in the aftermath of the Casuals game. It is also quite a rare occurrence to find a Mr Deaner supporter in our midst but I welcome you to the forum.

I thought at the start of this thread I explained that I can and HAVE accepted losing in certain situations. Just not when the entire team forgets to turn up.

I understand now that by saying f@%* I caused the team to lose and that is why I said you should have my shirt to re-sell to some poor mug who is happy to put up with that level of sh@t week in week out.

I apologise to those who were forced to listen my rant and bad language. I honestly will try and curb that. But I must say that if my swearing causes the teams bad performance it is the bad performance that causes my swearing. What comes first?

I also apologise to all the poor children who had to attend the game under the misguided apprehension that that was a football match.

Finally, yes let's forget about last night and concentrate on yet another relegation and yet another summer where our entire future will be in doubt.

Unfortunately Martin, what alternative do we have? I want Deaner out as much as the next man, but until either the Trust is in a postition to take over, or someone else steps in, where is our alternative?

Could we have the swear jar on the bench? <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's very much catch 22. Deaner out, no club - hence why I really want the trust to work alongside a sensible business man at the helm of the club.

It's been said before and it'll be said again, but we all need to be pulling together on this as at the end of the day we all want the same result - Slough to be stable off the pitch and successful on it.
