Disgrace

THe only positive spin that can be put on tonight's match is the fact that we only lost 4-1, when in truth it probably should have been even worse. I give vocal support to the team at every match I attend. Tonight I saw Corinthian Casuals play but I have no idea who it was they were playing - certainly the team I support did not turn up this evening.

The thing is, it's almost as if our travelling support can work against us as it raises our opponents games as well. (Croydon, Whyteleafe & Hampton away all spring to mind immediately).

I think it was John T who noted that before tonight's game, CC had only scored 18 at home and given their performance tonight, it certainly didn't reflect a side that is bottom of the table.

The players did not play football on what was a great playing surface, and I guess the supporters did not have much to utilise the covered goals at either end with songs of support of the team and players.

I have often wondered if that is the case. We do bring good support and some other sides do seem to defy the form table when plaing us. But that is a lame excuse for poor results.

Sorry I was not really saying you were putting it forward as an excuse. It is not something the players can fall back on though is it? I do think it is an explanation for why the oppo can defy expectation.

It Is football and we all have ways to cope with the frustrations and we all have opions...

Learning to deal with them is another thing ???

That is why it is great that Martin and BFR have put themselves forward to become trust board members and this will be great to ensure all opions are covered within our framework.

cheers Chris
