In fairness we were bl@@dy awful <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

They were much bigger, stronger, wanted it more and on the day we deserved what we got. They are currently towards the top of the Essex Senior League and are pushing for Ryman football next season. Great facilities but a sh*t pitch and all chances of flowing football destroyed by the wind (they scored the first goal from 60 -70 yards !!). It seems our reputation preceeds us as teams take the opportunity to use some of their more senior players, if they can when, we visit town. I suppose that's a compliment in some way, but it didn't feel like that on Saturday night.

But no excuses, wrong desicions from the start, one or two key injuries and a poor attitude in general meant there was only ever going to be one winner.I think one or two felt a bit sorry for themeselves as the game wore on. Never seen it before but given the young age of the side I am sure some would say there would be days like this.

Still we will remain positive and with a bit more hard work hope to get things back on track for next Saturday, home v East Thurrock.
