Feeling ill

Recommended Posts

Crap!

Yesterday during the day I started to feel ill, i kept getting almost like electric shocks up my back and my throat started to feel crap. The I started to feel dizzy, so I went up the pub in the evening and had to go home after a hour. I bed by 10.30 on a Friday night.

Then I couldn't sleep as I was shivering.

Got up and went to work and although I still feel a bit light headed my glands how now swollen up meaning I can't swallow, putting paid to Saturday night I should imagine - A Saturday night in

Now normally I would just go sick (although it is a waste to go sick when you are sick, save it for when you just want a day off) but I'm covering the next position up for the next 4 days, giving me the chance to show what I can do as I'm getting interviewed for that post on Tuesday. If I went sick my main rival for the job may have to cover the position instead and I'll miss the interview as well, so he'll have a chance to show what he can do.

What a pain in the [****!!****], eh? It's worth a 10k pay rise to get the next position up!

I am handling the pain, I'm not in bed moaning and groaning (that hasn't happened for a while ) and I did go out on Saturday night in the end.

Although I still feel crap, latest diagnois is glandary fever (or something spelt to that effect).

Funny you should menation barking because 10 mins after you went home I decided to start sending trains through again bang on time

Saw you on Sat night!!!!!!!!!! Love the new hair!!!!! Is it true that blonds do have more fun?!!!!!

I was diagnosed with tonsilitis 3 weeks ago, but after another wonderful meeting with my doc, he says it was more than likely glandular fever and this is why i have felt so rough over the past few weeks!!!!!!!!

Why couldn't i have had it when i was at school. I would have been able to get off PE for at least 6 months!

It's feeling a bit better today and the diagnois was from my Mum so it may be wrong.

If it is because it's a viral infection then there isn't really any way of curing it, you've just got to rest (like colds and flu), apparently the only way of finding out for sure is with a blood test and I hate them. I'll monitor it over the nest couple of days and head to the doctors near the end of the week if need be!

A year off work .......

Nah - everyone diagnoses themselves with glandular fever when all they've got is a bit of a heavy cold.

Thing is, the doctor didn't test me for it at the time, saying that i was too old to get it?!!!!!! so he didn't do a blood test on me. Now he says that it is more than likely that i did get it and that it would take a couple of months to get over it!

Stupid Markyate doctors!!!! If you went in there in labour, they'd send you away saying you've got a tummy bug!!!!!!!
