As I understand it you can/could only apply for a grant to bring the ground up to the standard of the league you are in; not the one above.

 

so would make sense if the grant was for ESL standard.

 

Don't get me wrong I would be more than happy if there was no working party. What is irksome (not just here but in all walks of life) is people who find it easy to criticise, but do nothing positive to change the situation.

 

I do appreciate that people have different calls on their time, we should be really positive about what we have acheived in under 3 year.

Thank you all for the clarification.

 

It does make you wonder how any club can progress if grants are not available to upgrade gounds to th eleague above, unless they are lucky enough to be baled out by estate agents, double glazing salesmen, caravan site owners, jeans manufacturers and the like!

Isn't that makes us different? Being a "suporters club"

one member one vote and all that stuff;

no big sugar daddy to rule the roost or to sell out on the supporters.

Absolutely. I had meant to put the word "lucky" in inverted commas!

 

I would not want to associate myself with a club owned by one rich man or woman ever again.
