Suggestion for the GBMT next season

Even though many games were postponed during the winter, we still have some weekends whereby teams have no games to play. there also hasn't been that much midweek games taking place. In addition, apart from county cups and the Vase/Cherry Red ESL teams end up playing each other a lot as we now have two league cups. I would like to make the following suggestion:

 

We open up the GBMT to the Essex Intermediate League teams. This will create more opposition and give the EIL teams a chance to play higher level teams and maybe that will encourage them to improve standards and facilities in order to apply for ESL membership. Also, the excitiemnt of a few cup shocks would increase interest in this competition which, is really just the second rate league cup.

I like the Essex Intermediate grounds and it would give them a boost - but it was bad enough losing to London APSA, and we struggled in our first season to beat White Notley and Epping (both good teams even if Epping did threaten to play Zinadine Zedane). It would be a good bridge from Intermediate football into the next level.
