"Manager Craig Edwards (Ford United) has, however, been successful in securing long-time target Jay Murray from rivals St Albans City.

 

A highly-rated young forward, Murray started his career as a trainee and then professional with Leyton Orient.

 

He played a couple of times in Orient's first-team and also had loan spells with Chelmsford City and Sutton United before joining Barking & East Ham United in February 2002.

 

He switched to St Albans last October but has failed to feature much in the first-team since Steve Castle took over as manager . "

 

Strange how this is worded - I was under the impression that Jay was released ages ago....
