Anyone know who the little chap is who comes on the pitch at half time with the substitutes. He's a great laugh and seems to get on well with the players, especially Matt Miller and Freddie Hyatt. As far as I can recall he has been about for a few years now and has always been popular with the team.

I look forward to the half time entertainment, especially the goal celebrations.

All jokes side, I think to be seen acting in this way, shows the players and the club up in a very positive light.

The lad obviously loves the club and the players and has a very good rapport with them.

I think more involvement and interactiveness in this way should be encouraged and even reported on in the local press to highlight the friendliness and family atmosphere around the club.

Absolutely....I think they should start by dedicating an article to my sublime penalty past the Ratcathcher!

Hear hear... the club is a very friendly one and actively encourages the support of disabled people. And yet some people would like to believe we are a bunch of rampaging hooligans poised to take over Britwell...

Spot on. This wonderful club of ours relies on supporters from all walks of life. We are one of the best supported clubs in our division and have better gates than clubs higher up in the leagues. Anyone can buy a shirt to show they support the overexposed - diving - cheating - moaning - prima donna - money grabers who are on the television all the time.Give me real football anytime. Up the Rebels for now and for evermore.

Whilst I agree to the sentiments above about us being a family club (which we are and encourage) there has been an un-necessary rise in both abuse to the officials after tense matches & swearing in the crowd at officials/opponents (myself included). Something which we need to look at ourselves on and cut out as it is clearly not necessary.

As has been raised on other message boards, Slough fans do have a reputation for being moaners, and seemingly after being reported by match officials on three occassions now for our fans behaviour toward match officials at the end of the game we are either becoming increasingly agressive and frustrated to which the officials bear the brunt often with volleys of foul language.

I know we can all get involved and heated up when a decision goes against us, but as a club which is looking to promote families to attend, it is something we all need to work together on to cut out.

Going back to an idea which was mooted and raised in jest last week, I think a swear jar (proceeds either to the trust/charity/football club) should be endorsed at the club. Not only would it raise funds for the charity/trust/club but would also move us toward a more family oriented environment within the ground which would maybe et more families coming along to watch Slough Town FC again.

Swearing is just like many other bad habits - it needs concentration and willpower to stop doing it.

If any fan, or groups of fans, find that the peer pressure of a 'swear box' helps them to reduce the amount they swear, then surely that is a good thing. (And any money raised is a bonus!) Although I think a large scale application might be difficult.

And once we have got the crowd behaving themselves, we can start on the players!

Testicles to you too!

Give money to whom? I'm sure that any of the STST representatives, such as Chris Sliski or Ian, will gladly accept a cheque on any match day

(Gosh, you're easy to bait today!)

I think you'd better ask Gary how much he was thinking...

From what I've heard behind the goal, even 10p a time would net a tidy sum each game!

Now that would be something for the NLP to report on - "Slough Town FC - first non-league side to be funded entirely by swear box receipts"

Christ that would price me out of going to the games altogether. It would be cheaper at chelsea.

Hmmmmmm. That might have some interesting side effects! If Eddie needed a new defender, he might be tempted to tell the lads to put on a dismal display, so that the amount collected went up to fund the new player. Still, on the other hand, they might just do that all by themselves, without any encouragement! (Bracknell!)

Perhaps Refs might decide to give every decision our way just to be awkward to keep the Slough income down - the possibilities are endless...
