E-bay Binge!

Do many of you go on quite crazy e-bay binges?

 

On Sunday night I bid on, and now own, these items!

 

THE NEW STATESMAN COMPLETE SERIES 1,2, 3 AND 4 BOXSET - ON FOUR REGION 2 DVDs £22

 

Digital Camera DV4 New £62

NME 11/04/1992 CARTER USM 99p

 

MULTI REGION DVD PLAYER ! -- BRAND NEW --DOLBY £32

 

That's £117 worth of impulse buying! Mind you the DV Camera is worth £160 on it's own!

Did £120 of impulse buying on Amazon yesterday.

 

Included were both Young Ones DVD's, a couple of Only Fools And Horses DVD's (including the one which Thornsy borrowed in 2000) and a film called The Firm which is meant to be a bit like I.D. Also got a Joan Baez CD and a Gordon Lightfoot CD.

 

And a couple of other things too which have momentarily slipped my mind.

Big fan of Only Fools and Horses. Been meaning to have a mammoth session of watching some of the old series on video over a weekend.

I have every episode on vid (except the one Thornsy borrowed in 2000!) but the time has come to upgrade to DVD, I thought!

The one on at Christmas was not bad compared with most of the other recent ones.

 

Unfortunately, OF&H has been pretty sh*t since the 6th series in 1989. The Christmas specials throughout the 90s were just silly, and in the main part, pretty unfunny.

 

Best Christmas specials are Dates (1988) and Jolly Boys Outing (1989).

 

Best series I reckon was Series 6 (Blow-Up Dolls, Rodney winning 14-year-old painting competition, the one with the seance, the one with the 250 gold chains etc.)
