Anti-Racism Gig

On Tuesday at the Astoria, very good it was as well:

Didn't see Miss Black America as I've heard them before and they are nothing to write home about.

80's Matchbox B-line Disaster were alright but a bit too goth like for my liking, nice bassline though!

Buzzcocks were pretty wicked actually, got right down the front and got involved in the mosh - One minus point, they didn't play that song!

Liberines were fab as well, very good band but not quite the live act the NME and people make out, they just kind of stood there and every so often Carl and Pete would sing from the same microphone, i was just expected it to be a bit more hardcore. Still pissed on most bands though.

Best joke of the day said by me to lot's a girls "I came to see the Buzzcocks and Mark Lamaar isn't in sight"

I'm just too funny!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

Scottish police are searching for a gang of men in connection with the abduction and brutal murder of a 15-year old schoolboy which threatens to inflame racial tension in Glasgow.

Kris Donald was snatched on Monday by a group of five men, said by police to be of Asian appearance, near his home in South Glasgow. His badly beaten body was found the next day in the east end of the city.

A police spokeswomen said they could not rule out a racial motive.

"This was a particularly brutal and apparently senseless attack on a young boy," Detective Superintendant Elliot McKenzie said on Wednesday.

"We have yet to establish a motive for this crime and I am anxiuos to speak to anyone who can provide any information."

Local MP Mohammed Sarwar said the incident could be exploited by far-right groups like the British National Party (BNP) to stir up racial tension.

"All the communities in Glasgow and Pollockshields are united to catch these culprits," Sarwar told BBC Radio.

"We have to be very cautious that we don't allow the BNP and other right-wing organisations to exploit this tradgedy to harm the race relations we have enjoyed over the years in Glasgow."
