ok lots of ranting on here recently about all things wrong with this dump, good news and happy stuff only on this thread..

starting with tonight for me, where i shall be consuming large amounts of beer in the leigh on sea area .. i also have to had that as i strolled down to chalkwell station yesyerday morning in the sun, the estuary looked fantastic with the tide in and the first signs of spring in the air.. this morning was a bit damp and the tide was out so it looked like a large expanse of sh.tty mud but you cant have everything..

No have to agree about yesterday, it was sunny and warm up here. (T shirt weather in fact). Loads of tiny lambs in the fields, blossom on the trees, very spring like. Managed to find a fantastic holiday deal on the internet last night so I'm dragging Invis off to Crete in a few weeks time. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

Unfortunately weather's back to being grey, dreary and raining today!!

I had an interview lunch time, just got back, the woman who interviewed me told me her partner used to play for Gravesend and Northfleet she then said he moved to Dover F.C, she looked about 25-30

(Job was in London)

no such choice canv....we moved the HO up here after taking over coldseal....always go where the money is.....

 

still got the old gaff in essex and still get down most weeks if only for a day or two....2 hours drive and motorway all the way...aint too bad really...

 

mind you...it is quite beautiful countryside around here.....trouble is...everything is closed by fckin 10pm....

 

oh yeah...it rains a lot as well...

your industry has priced itself out of the market though....

 

I recently set out to recruit a financial controller for one of our companies and we contacted two large agencies with a view to filling the vacancy....earnings circa 80k.....one wanted 25% and the other 30%...

 

I fcked 'em off...advertised...(cost a grand)...had 30 replies and got me man....(or woman in this case)...

I agree, saone of the big boys are charging way to much and are doing less work as well. I cannot understand why they increase the % charge just because the salary is higher. Surely with a higher salary you will get a bigger fee anyway. That is why I charge a fixed 16% for any level of vacancy. the only tinme I increase this is if the client wants to buy a longer gurantee period.
