Funniest Steve Jones moment for me -

Selhurst Park [vs Wimbledon - I think Dec 1993] - before the match we went to the chippy on the way to the pub and who should be coming out, about 90 mins before k.o, but Jonesy & Matty Rush, dressed in their West Ham tracksuits and both carrying the biggest kebabs with chips you'd ever see. I think they were on the subs bench that day, luckily.

I reminded SJ about this last year as he was buying a double burger at Uncle Urchins!

stevie jones put Hx on the map...to me he will always epitomise what a true pro should be.....never mind the bullshite and the PC diets and fancy european training....(although he always ran faster and had less fat ratings in training)

Well from someone that don't like digging up the past, that is a bit rich...Still, you're right, we did, er... "[***!!***]" away the funds.

 

But as for putting us on the map...Don't think so mate...We were already there... I remember three FA Vase finals and he was a bit young to play in any of 'em...Hmmm, where were Hornchurch at the time...can't remember But hey?
