Sawbridgeworth Town beat Barkingside in a real humdinger tonight, 'Side scoring from the spot after 7m (Paul Carr) then Simon Bonham making it 2-0 after 20 mins. Matt Lilley got one back on 38 mins and Danny Wardle made it 2-2 just on half-time. Greg Pike made it 3-2 on 59 mins and Richard Goodchild got the 4th at 73 mins but Paul Carr reached third place in the Leading Scorer table with a 78th minute goal .... 4-3 !!!

 

In the League Cup, Basildon's 3-0 (5-1 agg) score means they play Sawbo in the semi-finals.

Well Sawbo have to play Ilford and ETFC away in the coming weeks.

Both sides are capable of beating Sawbo on their day.......therefore in my opinion its not over yet.

Ilford V Sawbo

Concord V Ilford

Concord V Romford

ETFC V Sawbo

 

Until these games have been played I find it impossible to say who will win it.

I disagree....when it comes to the "big games" ETFC always raise it.Draws against Concord and ETFC and winning away to Sawbo.

I think your problem this season is putting away the "lesser sides".

I predict you'll beat Sawbo 2-1....

Come on Southport. I agree, this season hasn't lived up to our expectations on the pitch but you are putting us down too much. with the style of our play the state of the pitch hasn't helped all season. Let's get that right in the summer and hopefully we can improve next season at whatever level we play at. for now, we just have to get behind the lads and hope that we can have a good run in and then, you just never know.........
