... Is a brilliant album!!!!!!

 

I know many of you don't share the same taste in music as me, but this is a fantastic album, and well worth a listen to!!!!!!!

I find George Michael's solo output over the last 15 years incredibly dull and same-y.

 

His songs only seem to fit into two categories - over-produced, slow ballad, and 'funky', 'groovy' disco. What I've heard of the new stuff has not made me change my mind.

 

People take the piss out of his Wham days and say he only started developing since going solo, but I tend to agree with Stuart Maconie's comments in I Love 1983 when he claims people have it the wrong way round.

 

Wham, though admittedly cheesy, had some great fun pop songs, and since he's gone solo, he's just become a bore.

 

I shan't be buying it.

I love Wham! Although they were cheesy, they had a good thing going, but yes Goerge has done his best work solo!

 

I think you should at least listen to his album!

If I thought there was a chance that there may be even just one song on the new album that doesn't sound like either Jesus To A Child (over-produced, slow ballad) or Outside ('funky', 'groovy' disco), then I might.

 

As it is, I think I'll just stick that Jet album on again!!

Amazing is very good!!!! But there is some even better stuff on there though. Shame it's his last album.

Shoot the Dog is fantastic and John and Elvis is brilliant!!!! Some very good lines in John and Elvis that really do make you think!!!!!

Listen With Prejudice had its moments (Mothers Pride, Heal The Pain), but that '96 album (Older?) was absolutely dire, as have been all his solo singles since Father Figure in 1987.
