I'd like to ask people to make a list on here of all the positive things John Gibson has done for St Albans City since his company putting in the cash to get us out of our suspension. And yes, despite everything we're are still grateful for that.

 

Off the top of my head we have dropped 21 positions and lost an average 650 off the gate since Robbo was sacked (did we ever find out why?)in December 2002 but that's not very positive is it?

 

We're in a situation now whereby players can physically assault fans without fear of a fine, the sack or an FA charge but again that's not overly positive.

 

Anything else?

I spoke to Robbo on Saturday and he told me he was fired because the club was not happy with the way things are going. He was surprised by this as we were second to overfunded Aldershot by a point or two and we'd earnt £65K from the FA cup. Furthermore he had a plan to improve the situation.

I have to agree he has a point.

Webbo, not according to Robbo, and he seems a decent sort of bloke to me, so I believe him.

 

As for that paint, I seem to remember seeing a large duck in a similar colour at one of the away grounds a few seasons back.

Laz - you're right there. Having been instrumental in getting John interested in the first place, Gary was gutted to be sacked by him.

 

That said he's doing bloody well at Cambridge City. I just hope he gets the support from the club he deserves - good luck to him.
