so some town centres are now no go zones as teenagers go mental after 7 snakebites.. the police admit they have lost control .. what would you do if you were in charge..

 

option a. tax the pubs and clubs and bring in a load of regulations and fine any offy that sells beer to anyone underage enough to make a motorist wince..

 

i cant imagine to many new labour types have worked in a offy recently, but if you were working the till and a bunch of 16 yr olds came in wanting beer would you turn em down..? Q loads of abuse some petty vandalism, possibly a slap maybe worse.. you could of course slap the little runt back but the police would be on you like a shot.. of course if you called the police to help you disperse the rowdy twats expect them there some time next week..

 

option b, get 200 coppers on the beat on a sat night and arrest any pissed up twats smashing the place up.. then bang em up for 6 weeks and fine them enough to keep them out of baseballs caps for a few months..

 

typical new labour, faced with a problem they ignore the cause and then tax and regulate oh and expect shop assistants to do the polices job..

apparently it nearly happened on canvey a while back with a group of youths causing mayhem in the high street at night..

some people got together to refuse to pay the 'police part' of their council tax.. i think some others favoured er ahem .. more direct action..

Sorry but i have kept quiet on this subject long enough........The point is........Parents are failing in their duties of disciplinning their kids......If they were taught right from wrong at home.....Police would have a far easier job.........i was brought up to respect the Police......and to respect the Law they stood for!

If i went home and said a Policeman had stopped me for something.......i was in trouble with my parents.........now it is lets go Sue the Pigs!

I agree...(even with pabird.... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)...and therein lies the problem...our kids are taught at school that new labour policies will protect them from abuse....which also includes a wack from mum or dad it seems....

 

there is no answer...well there is and pabird has touched on it......but there never will be policemen of the calibre needed to control the streets again in this country.....christ...we dont recruit proper policemen...we recruit politically correct woofters and fckin socialist tossas who see being in the police force as the start of a political career...ask 'em to clean the streets up and they report in sick and fckin sue the force for stress....

 

in my younger days we went out on a friday...got pissed...had a fight with another group of lads.....(if we hadn't pulled that is).....

 

then the police heavies arrived and broke it up...and they were proper heavies as well....one word out of place and we got beaten to [****!!****]....locked up all night...thrown out in the morning with full apologies to the coppers and then had to go home and face another battering off the old lady....

 

by 12 noon we were in the pub larfin about it and the very same coppers who'd fckin hammered us the night before used to come in and have a drink with us as they went off duty....

we weren't angels but we knew our place and we respected law and order.....

 

there is no actionable answer and there wont be safety on the streets again in this country.....

Half way through a fair old ding dong arrives the boys in blue and we all end up in the black Maria

In the station house a sergent Izzard recognises me and my mate and pulls us into an interview room before giving the pair of us a shot to the head would have felled an Ox and sending us home via the back door

making a hasty retreat we thought that was the end of it, no Izzard visited the pub my old man used and told him he did not wish to see his son again in those circumstances

Boy was my old man up for it having been fronted in his pub by the local community copper

My Sister is 14 years old, (will be 15 in August) and she's out with her burberry capped mates virtually every night smoking and drinking. The problem with them is that they hang around with those that are legal enough to buy fags and alcohol. Those that have the experience and the cars that give them the thrills as they cruise their way around Canvey's town centre.

 

The police definately need to be able to have some rights in punishing them so that it leaves a lasting impression on all of them. Perhaps naming and shaming the young ones and being able to fine the elder ones might work but some sort of strict discipline definately needs to be thought up.

 

I hate coming home from filming on a Saturday afternoon while the parents are out and find 9/10 Scummers sitting in my living room drinking/eating my family's food/drink.

 

This kind of thing gets personal to me cause my Sister is a piece of the scum we're on about here, and I've had money etc. stolen from me by these little bastards.

Not only don't parents disciplne their kids but the schools don't or can't anymore. When I was at school they used to dish out the cane and believe me we were petrified. even the hard nuts knew when to stop. now, the teachers are at risk from the kids. Bring back the cane.

 

As for those who think we shouldn't slap our kids. [****!!****] off. If either of my kids deserves a smack they will get one and I don't care if it's in public either. I don't whack them, they get a controlled smack on their hand and if they've really played up then on their backside. If this is outlawed I would still carry on doing it.

Funny aint it..they harp on about the do's and dont's of corporal punishment..yet just reading here, myself included, brought up with the cane, the slipper, clip round the ear from the local gorilla in a police uniform..taught us all one thing...respect...something sadly missing today and in fact Mala..spot on...probably for the last 15 to 20 years.
