Better than the Bracknell game but not as good as recently

 

Played more like a team but still with weak momments

Won 1-0 scrappy game, Hodgey scored in the second minute. Had a few other chances, but did not take them. They only had one real chance and did not look too dangerous. We did not play well - but three points is the important thing after the Bracknell performance.

I think we played well, but still some jittery moments, especially in defence.

But Slough did deserve the win...possession about 60 - 40 to Slough and a few more chances too !

 

 

Remember Croydon Ath were only one point behind us and have had some very good results, so well done the Rebels..more passion than last week and well done lads...its 3 more points...

having to type this on notepad as for some unfathomable reason the non league site won't let me type at a normal speed, but no matter. If this was an NHL game it would be called 'chippy' or we would call it scrappy. against a team that could take advantages of opportunities we could have been in trouble seeing as how many chances we missed. still we won, and thats all that matters and six points from our two away games would give us a bit of breathing space.

We didn't create very much at all, I think other than the goal the best chance we had od going 2 up was when Tony Boot hit the post during the first half.

Didn't create much? Well we hit the woodwork, they cleared off the line twice, and a couple of chances just went wide and really we always looked in control apart from the very nervy last five minutes ...really wasn't overly impressed with Croydon, although their keeper did seem a nice bloke.
