London APSA v ETFC

Recommended Posts

I think that we have a fair bit of quality but we do not seem to use it to our advantage. Look at some of the other teams in the ESL and we are streets ahead in skill but they play 100% to their strengths and are tactically astute. I think we have used wing backs for far too long and it has cost us when the opposition gets behind them for a free run at the centre backs. Additionally, our committment is not always what it should be.Look at the attitude of opposing teams: always trying 100% and ever encouraging regardless of how the game is going. We seem to argue instead of encouraging.

Surely it must be Cove and Smith, it beggars belief that a striker who isn't striking continues to be selected.

I would however seriously consider playing Clarke as a wide or floating player with the other two. I feel this would give us options. With Clark playing as a centre forward we are so predictable, knocking long balls over for him to chase. With Clarkey wide we can play propoer football and use his pace as an additional weapon. I think he would revell in the freedom.

Ronaldo said he'd like to play in the premiership at some point (obviously he'd have to get us out of the ESL first). Perhaps more realistically... Darren Anderton's out of contract in the summer. Stan Collymore? What's Gazza up to? Maybe Rio Ferdinand could play for us on the sly - just give him a fake beard.

Where's Danny Jones playing at the moment?

YOU ARE RIGHT WE MUST PLAY 4.4.2 I THINK WE PLAY A BACK 3 TO SUIT SNOWDON AND ITS NOT WORKING,I USED TO THINK S BALDWIN WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH BUT IT WAS HARD ON HIM PLAYING ON THE LEFT OF A 3 WHEN HE RIGHT FOOTED,LEFT BACK WOULD BE BETTER FOR HIM AS HE IS A GOOD DEFENDER AND WOULD NOT HAVE TO GET FORWARD SO MUCH.

MY TEAM WOULD BE

A.HALL

DIGBY GANT G HALL BALDWIN

WRIGHT RIDOUT BROTHERTON GERAGHTY

COVE SMITH

SUBS CLARKE RILEY QUINN SNOWDON AND FRANCIS

PS SORRY I MENT I DONT LIKE BALDWIN AS A WING BACK

He was playing at Hemel last season but he has left there.

>Hamburger

He was a "utility" player at Enfield around 6 or 7 years ago. He used to run around like a blue arsed fly and get booked for clumsy tackling however I saw him playing for Hemel and he appeared to have found his level.

Lee Marshall is on loan at Hull City (from W.B.A)...reunited with Peter Taylor.

Danny Jones was EFC's best player for three seasons in the late 90's...He captained the side from midfield, ferocious in the tackle, good touch, expert penalty tacker and always netted about 15 or so a season from midfield....He's a local lad ,he must be about 28 by now.

Think Quinny..but with a better touch and goalscoring ability.

Found his level??? Was that was HH Rovers (not Town in the Ryman) I fancy; a long way to drop from Conference footy; and Rovers are in the Mid/West Herts League. Don't fancy his chances in ESL now despite his good service of the past.
