Actually.......there first game was played on the Isle of Dogs......and there first seasons were played at Plumstead Common..........so it could be argued........they never came from Woolwich!

Very true they couldn't sell all their tickets last year at OT and they had more than Shefiield United who sold out and could have sold more. No noise from them either

As usual JKIF.........you missed the point.....yes they were formed by Arsenal workers..but never actually played there so were they from Woolwich? they were Royal Arsenal when they started......Not Woolwich Arsenal!

They never played League Football as Dial Square......they soon dropped that name and became Royal Arsenal in 1891 they became Woolwich Arsenal When they turned Professional....and joined the League in 1893....but still never played in Woolwich.
