I have just read some posts on this Forum by someone claiming to be myself. I have not been on the Internet since Saturday Evening, as Radders pointed out, i am on Works Experience. This Company i am visiting have only an IntRAnet and hence the fact these posts were not posted by myself.

 

Somebody is obviously doing a good impersonation of Alcove_Man, i never post Anonymously as I never feel a need to, Every Forum visitor knows my thoughts and im not ashamed of these.

 

Just so you know it is true:

We had the problem with impersonaters last year with people pretending to be Steve Browne. They really are prats.

 

The best thing that can be done is if you are impersonated, post while logged on to say so and then everyone knows.

Matt, I would look very closely at who is setting you up then as those anonymous posts from last week were from HP I.P. addresses. As our lovely Radders recommends, always login before posting, as this will cause no confusion.

 

Aside from that, how is it going there? Would be a good place to get your foot in the door!

I read Alcove Mans Thread with interest.

 

Two people, with NO connection to Slough Town PM'd me this morning to say that they had 'posted' when not on line or near a computer.

 

I find this practice puerile and malicious.

 

OK ! I like a laugh and a bit of banter, but try NEVER to be abusive to anybody - I don't use alias's and I despise those who do so for the sake of a cloak of anonynimity for abuse.

 

I have advised the PM-ers how this matter CAN be resolved.

 

(There's nothing like a 'fingerprint' on an ISP's record !)
