Ah...but think about the "bigger picture"!

Technically, as it stands, the Crown cannot prosecute the Crown.

Should the Crown be above the law?

I don't think so!

The monarch has flagrantly abused employment laws, for a start, and cannot be taken to court over it. There are hardworking men and women being treated very badly in their jobs with the Royal Family, earning under the minimum wage, and then having their basic employment rights ignored...all for £7k -£8k per year!! [saw a good docu about it on tv last year]

Even "bigger picture" [bit of a conspiracy this one...]

CPS changes could signify that there may be "suspicions" about an incident that happened in a Paris tunnel a few years back.

Say no more!!

cant see the problem with that myself. it's not as if the kraut parasite presides over any proceeding herself. so, what the fuch has it got to do with her or any of her inbred tribe anyway? princess anne's english bull terrier aside that is ...

QUOTE

The plan to drop the CPS's Crown is the latest in a series of changes that have alarmed those who see value in Britain's long-standing constitutional practices. Even more dramatic was Downing Street's announcement last June that the post of Lord Chancellor was to be abolished after 1,400 years. Again the Queen was not consulted, even though the Lord Chancellor is keeper of the Great Seal of the Realm. A Bill published last week amends legislation on the Great Seal dating from 1531 - the Great Seal will now be kept by the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs.

the great seal of the [***!!***] realm this is a democracy mate, not the [***!!***] lord of the rings. get a grip.

And it included the Lord Chancellor......and thats what i commented on....The CPS is a legal body....and the Law needs a shake up every once in a while.....But if Blair has anything to do with it.....Murderers will probably be given Community Service and Child Sex Offenders will be putin Charge of Social Services...there.....JKIF...is that what you wanted?

nah not really

i was questioning your use of the word "tradition"

the CPS as im sure you know has only been going 20 years, so the use of the word "tradition" sort of falls apart, No?

as for the second part not really relevant, eh
