Reserves Semi Final

The reserves are away at Ware FC on Saturday in the Herts Intermediate Cup Semi Final. Kick off is 3.00 pm at Wodson Park.

 

Any chance of a few travelling fans to help cheer us on as I think the squad could well be down to the bare bones again this weekend.

 

This could be the clubs only chance of silverware this season (I know it is not important to some re. the first team, so don't reply with that old chestnut) but I think a little bit of success can lift some of the doom and gloom currently apparent at the park.

 

This is a Herts County FA competition so surely we can get a few people over there or is it a bit like this ...... <img src="/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />

The winners of this match will play the winners of Evergeen v Bishop's Stortford Swifts, also being played on Saturday, on Tuesday April 13th at the County Ground, Letchworth, ko 7:45 pm.

It's Ware Reserves and there are no Sunday sides in this. I assume that there's another Herts Intermediate run for the Sunday Boys.

I think you'll find Aylesbury away is Easter Monday April 12th and I would imagine it will be a 3pm ko.

Unfortunately the Reserves lost 2-1. Not their finest performance but several key players were missing for one reason or another. Ware were definitely 'up for it' and scored after 35 minutes from a free kick that came back off a post to their number 9. They went further ahead early in the second half from another free kick that was hit firmly over the wall and into the far corner of the net. Alastair Collins got one back with half an hour still to go but the Ware goal was never really threatened after that.

 

A shame they didn't make the final but a good run and another chance of silverware with the FB Trophy game still to come.
