Well one and all, the ESL final run-in doth await. We have all seen the head and heart predictions on this site. The permutations are endless.. Sawbo draw against Enfield and Ilford - plus Ilford dropping two points elsewhere- and ROMFORD win all their games, albeit against fellow title challengers and they lift the crown. Basildon back on the charge will hold major sway. Plus the fact we haven't heard the GBT semi draw yet. Rumour has it that the Southend Manor and Romford balls will be warm and the Ilford and Enfield Townies will be cold. But of course, I couldn't possibly comment.

Injuries and suspensions will no doubt be kicking in and at our level of football one player missing can cause major upsets (unless it is one D Clarke who apparently couldn't score on dope at this moment in time). Sorry Townies, but I think we will be visiting you guys at some stage next season in the league, and I think that Ilford will also [***!!***]-out. Obviously I hope that Romford do prevail, but I feel that if we don't, then I have major hopes for Sawbo. Don Watters deserves major success at some stage. The man has drafted in a good footballing squad so hopefully all these superlatives will be the kiss of death for them!!! Only time will tell...

Don Watters is a nice enough chap and I reckon he's home and dry. Romford well they beat us fair and square at home but we were having one of our erratic days when everything went wrong! I haven't heard a good word for Romford from any other ESL club.

I've heard there is a bit of unrest in the camp at Sawbo, From what i've read they arent exactly playing like champions. Granted they are still winning their games but they have only played the so called lesser sides of late with all the so called big guns to come. The run in is looking very interesting and exciting.

 

Only time will tell.

Nothing unpleasant - Just quality skill on the pitch! We Towners over beer (or lemonade) felt that Romford are skillful however a number of others from ESL clubs begged to differ. Just a friendly exchange of opinion after playing you boys. Maybe you just raise your game to play us and give us a better game?
