IS IT TRUE

Recommended Posts

It would appear that perhaps the chairman's quote is not complete....any suggestions what might be the missing words?

'provided that nobody checks the paperwork' sounds plausible.

I think, however, that it would be seriously bad news for the ESL if at the end of such a close fight for the championship, no team attained promotion.

I can't see ETFC making the top three now.

It would be Be Sponsor.....

I can still see ETFC finishing in the final three.....still many points to be won and lost for many teams......

But saying that, ETFC drawing with Southend and Brentwood and losing to Abbey, maybe you dont deserve to get int the Ryman league.

The supporters clearly do...but the team doesn't...

As for Ilford.......if we dont get promotion because the ground isn't ready in time then watch a mass exodus of players.....!

Is it just me, of does anybody else see a connection between the timing of the outcome of the Ryman League's arbitration with the FA and the rumours abounding from Ilford?

From the club's perspective I can fully see that the opportunity to progress into the Ryman League status quo would be attractive, on the grounds of limited additional travelling, exposure to running costs, etc. The sitaution of clubs at the bottom of Ryman Division 1 of late would provide some confidence that any ESL winning team should be able to hold its own.

The restructured option is however a different kettle of fish, and from reactions around the country its quite clear that its not universaly favoured at club level [to some degree for the reasons stated above, I guess].

I fear that Ilford may have awaited the FA outcome and have now left themselves too little time to do what's needed to get them to somewhere they don't want to be!

That would take some explaining to the players, eh Foxy!

LOL.....It would Beer Sponsor.....

I think I'll just attach you post to our notice board...

I honestly dont think that this was what Ilford was waiting for......I understand that their was a small building problem with the council which has now been approved and all systems are go.

No one would laugh foxy, don't worry about it.

Bit of a tough one for Sat, some of our lads know some Romford players and just wondering as its seems ages since we played you, is Stuart M still in charge? If so a few of us know him....tough one to call....who do we support? Give us some good reasons here?

I agree, we should have at least one team every year going up and one down to make everything interesting. A team coming up form the Essex Intermediate would be good too. Any news anyone on White Ensign? Trouble is at our level most clubs are restricted financially and it takes ages to get the necessary ground grading. Too much money at the top level and not enough down below.
