.......................against Morecambe today! Should be a good game and hopefully 3pts to the Mighty Fleet. Is Radio Kent broadcasting commentary over the net?

 

I've literally just returned home from a nice old morning on L**ds City Station. I'd intended catching the 9.53am to Carlisle via the scenic Settle to Carlisle line. "It'll be a lovely trip this weather", I thought - "snow covered dales n' mountains, the awesome Ribblehead viaduct - a few jars enroute, 3pts to the lads!" - "Bloody greeeeeat!"

 

On my arrival at the station however, I encountered several dozen Terriers fans waiting to buy tickets but the news was out that 'there's a pitch inpection at 10.30pm'. "Oh well!", I thought, "I'll catch the 10.53am instead".

 

Then it came though - The Carlisle V Huddersfield Town match has been cancelled! Bloody marvelous! (Not!)

 

So here I am at home several inches of snow outside and Saturday somewhat spoilt. BUT not entirely hey? Cos' The Fleet are my saviour!

 

Come on you Reds today 3pts off those Lancashire sh*tpots.....errrrrm sorry I mean hotpots!

What a totally superb scoreline. I hope you don't mind me saying this (hell what do I know?) but I reckon this result signals Fleets 'coming of age' in the 'Conference'. Six goals against 'anyone' is a significant result but against a team that's well repected and pushing for promotion is a real turning point.

 

On a personal note, it more than made up for a disappointing start to the day. I'm chuffed to little mint-balls that the Fleets have finally broken through.
