another call from the ground in 30 minutes but it looks like its ON.....

 

the boys had a good training session late yesterday on the walsall pitch and are well up for the battle today....

gary and george are on the pitch and its frozen at one end...perhaps hednesford have been to 'clever' because there are a lot of frozen ruts in the surface where it hasn't been rolled and flattened and they are causing george serious concern....

 

a refs inspection takes place at 10am...in the meantine the coaches will not leave before the decision is made....there's plenty of time to get there if they leave at 10.30...

referee called the game off at 10.20...

 

wednesfield get no credit for this as apparently the pitch was frozen solid in one 18 yard box and it ALWAYS freezes there...why they didn't cover it god knows...

 

anyway...clubhouse is open...live nationwide....(fckin great.. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />......drinks are on me and the coaches will leave at 4pm on tuesday for those of you that can make it.,...

the pitch was frozen on tuesday (walsall's reserve match was switched to their own ground) and it has barely been above 0 all week, unless it warms up in the next couple of days tuesdays a bit optimistic, we did have games monday (wolves) and wednesday (newport away) think we're gonna have a bit of a fixture pile up soon <img src="/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" />

p.s. the 5 day weather report on the bbc site doesn't look promising, tomorrow :- min -7 max 6, monday:- -2 +6, tuesday -1 + 10. But as todays max is supposed to be +4 and we haven't got above zero yet I don't trust those max temp's.
