Existenz (how to make a gun out of the remains of a Thai takeaway)

Existenz - sounds like a very strange film. Have you seen it? How do you make a gun out of the remains of a Thai takeaway?!!!!!!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

He's brilliant in The Rock - another fantastic film, and also gone in 60 seconds!!!!! He is very sexy in that!!!!!!!! Brillaint film, and a must see for anyone that loves fast cars!!!!!!!!!

The Rock is an excellent action film. The banter between Cage and Sean Connery is superb.

Agree with Zeal about American Beauty. There are some moments in the film that are really touching and others that are really funny. I would recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it.

I'm sorry but I think Con Air is one of the worst films I have EVER seen. Nick Cage's supposed 'southern drawl' makes me cringe and I can't believe an actor like John Malkovich would have anything to do with it!

I know it's probably a bit obvious, but I love Schindler's list. I can't watch that without crying. And Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is fantastic, makes me wish I could do Marshall Arts!

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest is definitley one of my fave films. In fact most films with Jack Nicholson in I think are great.

Another Fav film of mine is BRAZIL - Terry Gilliam. I like it, not only because it is a witty and interesting snipe at bureaucracy [a particular Python bugbear - i.e. Gas cooker sketch], but also because the time period it is set is in vague.

Stylistically it is 1930s, tho' there are lots of things in it which make it futuristic.

I also like the Heath-Robinson machinery. [Relics, anyone?]

"HAS ANYBODY SEEN SAM LOWERY?"

I'm with Zeal on this, my atention span is crap and the idea of sitting and not talking for 2 hours is something I'm not very good at.

I actually think the last time I went to the cinema was in Melbourne in 2001 to see Blow (cue LOL!!!!!!!!! Brad Pitt!!!!!!!!!! so stunning, i love him LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I think a lack of car and a cinema in St.Albans hasn't helped my cinema attending.

As for films, I'd say that Leon is definantly up there, the last one I saw was Bowling for Colenbine and also recently ID, twin town and some classics Quadraphenia and Brassed Off!

Oh yeah and Drop Dead Fred <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think you should watch it and find out Zeal. it isn't anything like Something ABout Mary!!!

This film is really, really messed up!!!! It's got Tom Green in which i think makes the film coz he is a total nutter and is so funny. In one scene, he is told to get inside the mind the animal, and so he finds a dying dear, kills it, and then opens it up (which is really graffic - to me!!!!) and then put the animal carcus on him to see what it is like to be a dear!!!! then he gets hit by a lorry!!!!!!!!!

This film is designed to shock the audience, and it does just that!!!!

Tom Green - hardly an advert for a quality film, is it?

I think I'll give it a miss. Not sure why opening up a dead deer would be "right up my street". <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Got A Beautiful Mind in the post this morning. I only had it on Region 1 before, and noticed it was £7.99 on Region 2 on Amazon, so ordered it!!

Now, that is a film, Claire.
