Anyway mate. There's an old saying sport - you're only as good as your last game.

I prefer the saying in scrabble, you're only as good as your rating and average score, on both of which I beat you. I only said I was aiming for my highest score, once I had the first 2 sevens, aviating and funnily, and then I set myself up for the last one, strayed. They got me the vast majority of my points

Then again, I've only played about 15-20 games of Scrabble in my life, compared to you who must be in the hundreds, and I'm only a few points off your rating already!!

But you know thats largely cos you only play me, and that distorts the ratings, if I got to ever play some higher rated players I might improve mine (there are very few players rated over 1000 hanging around on ISC)

I observed a game the other day between two players who were both around 1800.

 

I guess they wouldn't particularly want to play us, because they'd stand to lose a lot off their rating should they lose.

 

I think of our last six matches, Libro, I've won three and you've won three, so could I tactfully suggest there's probably not a great deal in it?

Nothing much appeals to be honest. Am very tempted by Fulham at 4/1 to bet Man U but I think I'll have a go on the Trophy:

Hednesford v Hornchurch 6/4

 

Not totally happy about Aldershot v Exeter, think that may be a draw, so investing modestly.

It's 4-2 to me over the last 6 matches. Why don't you play a few people more highly rated than you, and a few lower, then see your average? You can even play computer players if you're scared of real people - I think they're called bots?
