Agree with that Charlie, promising debuts too from the man from Cyprus up front (Petrou?) and the Sandridge Rovers keeper.

 

Bringing Cogger on when they were tiring frightened the opposition to death I reckon, we were all over them in the last 20 minutes. Always pleasing to put one over D&R too, whatever the level.

Second goal definitely Will Davies, apparently his first headed goal from a corner ever !!

 

I thought last night was a great performance. We never let them settle, our keeper and defence dominated, the midfield chased, harried, still found time to play good football and all the strikers used caused problems.

 

I was also surprised by the amount of long balls they played ....... sound familiar ?

 

Well done everyone concerned and thanks for the support last night. Anyone up for Saturdays home game v Grays. Should be another cracker.

well a mate of mine (chelsea regular) saw both games tues/weds

came away slightly confused how 2 teams (1st Xi & Res) could be so different...

kept badgering me why the Res. were the reserves

First of all, how do you know I wasn't there (or was the crowd so small that you knew them all!)? But your assumption that I wasn't is correct - two matches in two days would have been a bit much even for my love of football. If we ever get to meet I will explain why I don't often get out to matches (not an electronic tag though!). Rest assured I will be back next Tuesday though.

By all accounts this Ricky Perks fella is a bit useful. Old Georgie boy had better watch out. Also came on as sub for the Peacock in the OR Sunday League last week and nabbed a hat-trick in double quick time.
