Slough take on Hendon in the Capital League at Stag Meadow. Official website has it down to start at 7.30 but going on the last two weeks is more likely to begin at 7.45.

How can people watch these Reserve matches, they must have something missing in their lives.

Clearly you've not been. Best laugh I've had in a while at a football match for the last thirty minutes of the ressies match last night. Great fun.

 

On top of that it supports the side financially as it helps to cover the cost of the officials.

I think Mr Anon may be talking about the playing side of the game rather than the bulls**t in the crowd, The standard of football is crap and as for financial support, i dont expect Slough get enough money from the Reserves gate to pay the refs for the reserves games, let alone anything else.

 

And as for beating an attendance - Big deal, why does that matter!

Maybe not covering all the cost but everyone who comes in and contributes reduces the loss which in turn is of course good for the club as the money can be used elsewhere.

people are free to do what evert they want to...and supporting the reserves has its benifits too....great crack behind the goal and a good laugh...thats what is needed in life !

 

In fact the Hendon players were astonised at the good support slough were getting which only breeds confidence to the fringe players
