yes i know rubber sole was first and yes it is all relative to the beatles as a group in general .. the white album (as we shall now call it) was excellent just not one of their best..

Revolver was my favourite for years, but this last year or two, The White Album has overtaken.

 

I can understand The White Album being thought of as a "bodge job", but Abbey Road? That album is brightly polished from top to bottom.

Regarding bad Beatles' covers, some American nu-metal band done an absolutely appalling version of "My Guitar Gently Weeps". Truely awful!!

 

I'd probably have Led Zep "Stairway to Heaven" played at my funeral and insist on it being played to the end just to piss everyone off!

 

Found a superb acoustic version of Oasis 'Live Forever' sung by Noel that is really moving. Would probably have that played at my funeral!

I'm gonna be cremated I think. Apparently, the spaces for graves are fast running out, so if I get myself cremated then at least I'll be being helpful, even from 'the other side'. Or maybe I'll have a Viking send-off, you know where they push you out to sea or something?!
