Haven't heard any of it, Mal, but I am a little intrigued by it!

Some of it definitely works, but all the good work is cancelled out by the unforgivable butchery of 'Julia'. I can't remember the last time I heard something that unpleasant...

The whole thing gets more annoying the further through you get.  The concept is better than the end result in my opinion.

One of the most unpleasant acts of "butchery" of a Beatles track has got to be that Strawberry Fields cover in the late 80s/early 90's. Who was it again? I've conveniently forgotten!

Bit of an old one, but do you know "The Beatles and the Stones" by House of Love? Fairly evocative in a very simple way.

Hmmm, I would put Revolver as my no. 1. The other two, well, would put Physical Graffiti, Wish You Were Here and Who's Next above them but definately in my top 10.

A Hard Days Night is certainly my favourite album from the 'early years' (ie Please Please Me through to Help!) and makes my all-time Top 20.

 

The five albums from Rubber Soul through to Abbey Road would occupy five of my Top 10 positions. Not that I am blinkered, of course!

 

Don't own either Physical Graffiti (never really got into Led Zep - ask SteveP!) or Who's Next. Wish You Were Here is a good album, but I prefer both 'Piper' and 'Dark Side'.

Impecable taste, the both of you, if I may say. I own all the albums you've mentioned. Never got into Led Zep? Their first album is class!!

 

George Harrison once said that Rubber Soul and Revolver could be a double album.

 

I'd definately take the White Album on a desert island if I had only one choice.
