Zeal - we had this discussion on Saturday. Have you even heard the Keane single yet? You even admitted that the music press call a band 'the new coldplay' just cos they mean they're a guitar based band who are going to be big, not necessarily cos they sound like Coldplay

I have heard the single several times, and it has that same ploddy piano and dull vocals that all Coldplay records have.

Indeed these twats on TV rave about the Darkness too, but I think even you'd agree that Keane sound more like Coldplay than the Darkness, Libro.

 

I stand by the point I made on Saturday, Libro, but I've since heard the Keane record several times on Hits TV, and I don't like it, mate. It sounds like Coldplay.

It's funny you mention the David Gray one, I bought the 'New Day at Midnight' album, it's the only one I have ever bought back to the shop. I have never been allowed to forget it by my friend at the record store! I was justifiably pilloried.

 

With this in mind anyone buying the likes of Gray or indeed Sean Paul do deserve public humiliation. I think I may end up going up a notch or two on the fascist test if it included music as a subject.

I can't stand David Gray, all he ever does in his songs is whinge about absolutely everything!!!! same as Daniel Bedingfield!!! Seriously he just needs to get over the fact that the girl he sings about in his songs really doesn't want to know him!!!!

Sean Paul's album is brilliant!!! (I listened to it at Brews party!!) I love all the tracks he has had out in the charts!!! At least you can dance to them!! Just shake your bum and you'll be alright!!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have not heard Sean Paul's album, but I'd be prepared to wage a load of cash that it is far from brilliant.

 

Steve - never returned a CD to a shop, but I've bought some serious rubbish in my time! Proud to say I don't own any David Gray or Sean Paul though (although No Angel seems to have slipped in unnoticed!)
